The beach party activity can be carried out when the room is decorated with a beach theme; fake palm trees, sand (optional), tiki lamps, leis, beachballs, grass skirts, etc.  Hawaiian music can also be added for a final touch.  Once everything is set, have students read in the setting.  You can pass out fruit drinks and pineapple or watermelon as a final treat.  The entire setting is fun for the students.
