"Here's the Scoop On Reading" is an activity that is fun for kids because they earn scoops of ice cream based on how much they read. For every 10 books they read, they earn a scoop of ice cream on the "Here's the Scoop On Reading" party day. From the time they begin the activity, progress is charted on a bulletin board or chart. For students that do not read 10 books, they do not earn any ice cream, but they can read during the party to earn 1 if they make it to 10.
