Reading Around the World is a great interdisciplinary activity. You can encourage reading and cover geography at the same time. When the students read, 1 page equals 1 mile. The goal is to read enough pages that you could circle the globe. During the activity, you can study whatever land area (or water for that matter) that you are on.
