Parents,
    Review weeks happen after a unit (5 stories) is completed.  The five stories all have a theme.  In this unit's theme ("Finding My Place"), each story had a skill that was a focal point.  The review week is a time to review and practice those skills for the Benchmark Test.  The benchmark test is a test that the Scott Foresman reading series provides that is similar to Virginia SOL's.  Since it is taken after each unit, students, parents, and teachers are given an opportunity to check progress above and beyond interims/report cards.  The skills for this unit are bulleted below.  Feel free to focus on these skills at home to assist a more successful benchmark score.  If you do not have resources/ideas, please contact me and let me know, and I will send home additional work, or search on my website for Language Arts links.  (I've provided some links below).
