Shop & Read
When you go shopping, you read more than you think.  Shopping is an awesome way to practice reading and math skills.  Use reading while shopping in fun ways, like making a game to find a certain product.  (It can help you locate things faster if two people are looking!)  You can have your child read product names, signs, coupons, or even logos/emblems.  This activity can also keep children quiet and occupied while you're shopping, so how can you go wrong?
